-Chief Minister saddened, expressed deep condolences

Patna, 25 October (NEWS IN BIHAR). Five people drowned in the river during preparations for Chhath Puja on Saturday at Akhta Bagmati river ghat of Suppi block of Sitamarhi district in Bihar, out of which three died.

According to the police, five people drowned in the river after they suddenly went deep into the river while building Chhath Ghat. Due to the promptness of the local people, two people were taken out safely, while three people were trapped in the depths.

As soon as the information was received, there was chaos in the area. The villagers made tireless efforts and pulled out two bodies from the river, while the search for one person is still going on.

SDRF team has reached the spot and the rescue operation is being carried out rapidly.

Heartbroken by this incident, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said in his condolence message that this accident is very sad. The Chief Minister has prayed to God to give strength to the families of the deceased to remain patient in this hour of grief.
