Darbhanga, 30 September (NEWS IN BIHAR). 11 -year -old Nikhil Kumar alias Suraj Yadav died after drowning in a pond in Andauli village of Alinagar police station area of ??Darbhanga district in Bihar. After the incident, a wave of mourning spread throughout the village. The deceased was already devoid of parents and now two sisters are completely orphaned by his death.

Nikhil’s elder sister Sadhana Kumari (14 years) and younger sister Rani Kumari (5 years) were already living with their elderly grandmother after the death of parents. Now the untimely demise of brother also took away the last support from both sisters.

According to the villagers, the incident took place at around 12 noon while bathing in the Kachuahi pond in the village. When Nikhil did not come out for a long time, people saw his cloth along the pond. On suspicion, the villagers landed in the pond and after much effort, his body was taken out of the water.

On the information of the incident, Alinagar Police Station Vinay Kumar Mishra reached the spot with a team force. He explained to the family members to conduct post -mortem of the dead body, but the family refused to conduct the post -mortem.

This painful accident during Durga Puja has shocked the entire village. Villagers and family have demanded the government to provide financial assistance to both orphaned sisters. He says that the family is already struggling with financial crisis due to the death of the parents, now the situation has become even more serious due to the brother’s death.
