
Patna, October 21 (NEWS IN BIHAR). District Election Officer-cum-District Magistrate Thiagarajan SM and Senior Superintendent of Police Karthikeya K Sharma, while jointly addressing the journalists, said that the process of nomination and withdrawal of candidature in the first phase of Bihar Assembly General Election, 2025 has been completed. A total of 9 candidates have withdrawn their names in Patna district, after which now 149 candidates are in the fray for 14 assembly seats in the district.
The officer duo said that the top priority of the administration is to conduct clean, fair, fear-free, transparent and participatory elections. For this, the entire administrative and police system is alert, ready and committed.
He told that after the completion of the process of withdrawal of candidature, 8 in Mokama, 12 in Barh, 9 in Bakhtiapur, 11 in Digha, 9 in Bankipur, 13 in Kumharar, 10 in Patna Sahib, 12 in Fatuha, 7 in Danapur, 13 in Maner, 12 in Phulwari (Scheduled Caste), 9 in Masauri (Scheduled Caste), There are 14 candidates in the fray in Paliganj and 10 in Bikram.
Under the first phase, voting on these seats will be held on November 6, while counting of votes will be done on November 14. Results will be declared after counting of votes.
