Bhagalpur, October 15 (NEWS IN BIHAR). A 15-year-old girl drowned in the Ganga after her feet slipped while bathing at Namami Ganga Ghat in Sultanganj police station area of ??the district on Wednesday. The drowned child has been identified as the daughter of Mantosh Sah, resident of Satiara Chowk, Hajipur in Patna district.

She had come to the house of her maternal aunt Rajesh Sah and Kanchan Devi, residents of Ghat Road, Sultanganj, and along with her grandmother Nirmala Devi and other children, reached Namami Gange Ghat for bathing in the Ganga.

Meanwhile, a girl slipped into deep water and started drowning. Seeing her younger sister drowning, elder sister Ankita went to save her. He saved his younger sister but Ankita drowned. Local people informed Sultanganj police about the accident.

Police station chief Mrityunjay Kumar reached the spot with his team and after taking information about the incident from the family, immediately called the SDRF team and started the investigation. However, nothing has been known till now. The investigation is ongoing.

Ankit’s parents live in a rented house in Patna and he was the second among four siblings. She studied in sixth class. 10 days ago, Rajesh Sah and Kanchan Devi along with their grandmother had come to their aunt’s house. This morning Ganga had gone for bath with her grandmother and five children.
