Katihar, 24 October . Special arrangements have been made in Katihar Railway Division on the occasion of Chhath, the great festival of folk faith. Chhath songs have been organized in the station premises, while the railway administration has made special arrangements for the convenience of the passengers.

ADRM of Katihar Railway Division, Manoj Kumar Singh said that for the first time, the song of folk faith is being played by the Railway Administration at a total of eight main stations of Katihar Railway Division including Katihar, Purnia, Manihari, Barsoi, Kishanganj, Newsalpaiguri. Apart from this, in view of the rush of passengers, 44 pairs of puja special trains are being operated. Of these, 18 pairs of trains originating from Katihar Railway Division are being run in different directions.

ADRM said that arrangements have been made for temporary holding area, additional ticket counter and 24×7 war room for the devotees at the station. Also, additional staff has been deployed to control the crowd of passengers.

Manoj Kumar has appealed to the railway devotees to book tickets in advance and have a safe and comfortable journey by following the rules.
