
East Champaran, 17 October (NEWS IN BIHAR). As part of the special investigation campaign being run on Diwali, Chhath festival and Bihar Assembly elections, on Friday, a joint team of Railway Protection Force and GRP took a major action at Raxaul railway station. During the inspection of train number 75215 which reached platform number-01 under the leadership of Inspector Ajay Kumar Choudhary, Nepal made ‘Kasturi Lemon Fresh’ country liquor was recovered in unclaimed condition in four plastic sacks under the seat of general coach number ECR 158047.
Despite enquiry, no passenger gave any information related to alcohol. During the search, a total of 466 bottles (300 ml each) of liquor were found from the four sacks, the Nepali value of which was estimated to be around Rs 23,300. The recovered liquor was confiscated and handed over to Government Railway Station Raxaul, where case number 36/2025 dated 17.10.2025 was registered in this regard under Section 30(A) of Bihar Excise and Liquor Prohibition Amendment Act 2022. The investigation of the case has been handed over to PSI Anmol Kumar. However, no one could be arrested in this action.
