Dehri on Son, 20 October (NEWS IN BIHAR). Today, on the last day, 74 candidates filed nominations in seven assembly constituencies of Rohtas district in Bihar. Jharkhand Police arrested RJD candidate Santosh Sah after the nomination.

Among those who filed nominations on Congress ticket are outgoing MLA Santosh Kumar Mishra from Karghar, RJD’s Satyendra Sah from Sasaram, Vinay Kumar Singh from JSUPA, Mo Aman from AAP, Guddu Chadvanshi of RJD from Dehri and Rajesh Yadav from Dinara.

Jyoti Singh, wife of Bhojpuri star Pawan Singh, has filed her nomination as an independent candidate from Karakat Assembly. Apart from this, people from other regional parties and as independent candidates have also filed their nominations.

Being the last day, there was a lot of hustle and bustle throughout the day in the sub-divisional office premises of Dehri, Sasaram and Dehri of the Collectorate.

In the one week long nomination, 119 candidates have filed their nominations in the district. 19 nominations have been made from Chenari Safe, 25 from Sasaram, 13 from Karghar, 15 from Dinara, 11 from Dhokha, 21 from Dehri and 15 from Karakat. Nomination papers will be scrutinized from Tuesday. Whereas after withdrawal of nomination on 23rd, election symbol will be distributed to the candidate.

According to SP Roshan Kumar, Garhwa Court of Jharkhand had issued permanent warrant in 2004 to arrest RJD candidate Satendra Sah and present him in the court.
