Araria 29 October . After the end of Chhath, the great festival of folk faith, the city’s Gudri market including Chhath Ghat of Forbesganj is filled with garbage and the city council administration is completely indifferent towards its cleanliness.
There is a pile of filth near Phulwadia Haat along with Fancy Market of Forbesganj and Agricultural Produce Market Committee. At these places, there was a market of fruits, flowers and other items for Chhath puja material. Where shops selling bananas, fruits etc. were set up on a large scale. Due to which, at these places, fruit wastes are completely spread on the roads, which along with dirt, is causing rotting due to bad fruits etc. On the other hand, banana thumbs planted on other ghats including Kothihat Canal are completely scattered on the ghats.
During Chhath Puja, the filth of the street vendors is completely scattered, due to which the people in the surrounding areas are facing difficulties. The local people have demanded cleaning of the scattered garbage even after Chhath for the glory of Chhath Puja.
