Araria 15 October (NEWS IN BIHAR). Anant Rai, who was considered close to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s Samata Party since its inception, has rebelled against the party and filed nomination papers from Narpatganj assembly on Wednesday.

Filed his nomination form with Returning Officer cum DCLR Amit Kumar in DCLR office in Forbesganj sub-divisional office. Anant Rai became the first candidate to file nomination papers in Forbesganj sub-division.

There is tight security arrangement regarding the nomination process in the Forbesganj sub-divisional office premises.

No candidate had filed nomination papers in the first two days of the nomination process, but with the nomination of Anand Kumar Rai as the first independent candidate on Wednesday, the election excitement has intensified.

Intensive checking by the police force continued at nine drop gates. Security personnel at each entry gate allowed candidates, proposers and supporters to enter only after checking them.
