
Katihar, 24 October . Pink polling stations have been created to make women voters aware about voting in the Bihar Assembly general elections. Only women will be able to vote in this polling station. The biggest feature of this booth will be that the presiding officer, polling officer and all the polling personnel will be women. Only women police personnel will be deployed here.
District Election Officer cum District Magistrate Manesh Kumar Meena said that out of 2542 polling stations in Katihar district, 19 pink booths are being made. Pink booths are being made in all the seven assembly constituencies of the district – 63-three in Katihar, 64-three in Kadwa, 65-three in Balrampur, 66-three in Pranpur, 67-three in Manihari (SC), 68-three in Burari and three in 69-Kodha.
The District Magistrate said that the total number of voters in Katihar district till October 20, 2025 is 20,79,464, which includes 10,93,818 male voters, 985615 female voters and 31 other voters.
