
Gopalganj, October 25 (NEWS IN BIHAR). This year too, Bhaskar Mahotsav will be organized at Dumariya Ghat with great enthusiasm and traditional reverence.
According to the information received by the district administration, this festival will start on October 27 and 28 at 3 pm. This two-day event is considered a symbol of sun worship, folk tradition and cultural unity, which is witnessed by thousands of devotees and tourists every year.
Religious rituals, folk music, dance and cultural performances will be organized during the festival. The program will begin with traditional Sun worship and Vedic chanting. After this, folk songs, jhumar, Bhojpuri dance and traditional drama will be performed by folk artists from the district and surrounding areas.
The view of Dumariya Ghat becomes enchanting in the evening when devotees offer Arghya to the Sun God and the entire ghat gets illuminated with the light of lamps. DM Pawan Kumar Sinha said that this event of Bhaskar Mahotsav is considered very important not only from religious point of view but also from cultural and tourism point of view. This event presents a living example of Bihar’s folk culture, traditional beliefs and community solidarity.
The district administration has started preparations for the festival. Necessary instructions for safety, cleanliness and traffic control have been given to all concerned departments. Sub-divisional officer, block development officer and police station in-charge are continuously inspecting the site.
The administration has also ensured that adequate drinking water, lighting and first aid facilities are provided to the devotees visiting the ghat. The district administration said that the objective of this event is to promote local culture while preserving the ancient tradition of Sun worship.
By participating in Bhaskar Mahotsav, devotees not only get religious satisfaction, but this program also gives the message of community unity, mutual harmony and cultural pride among the people. During the festival, a large number of devotees, artists and tourists from across the district will reach Dumariya Ghat.
The administration has appealed to the people to maintain peace, cleanliness and discipline and cooperate in making the event a success.
