Katihar, 28 October . In view of the assembly elections, Bhaskar Mahotsav-cum-voter awareness program was organized at Manihari Ghat. In this program organized as per the instructions of District Election Officer cum District Magistrate, all the observers of the district, officials of various departments, local representatives and general public were present as chief guests.

The program featured attractive cultural presentations by regional artists, giving the message of voting awareness through Chhath songs. After this, the District Magistrate and observers inspected Manihari Ghat and Ganga river area by boat. Under the awareness campaign, people were appealed to vote maximum through slogans like “First vote, then refreshments”, “Apni Sarkar, Chunega Bihar, Vote Katihar”, Mahatyohar of Democracy, Ready Katihar. Selfie points and banners set up at the venue also motivated voters.

The main objective of Bhaskar Mahotsav-cum-Voter Awareness Program is to ensure 100 percent voting in the upcoming assembly elections. The program concluded with Ganga Aarti.
