Katihar, 02 October (NEWS IN BIHAR). A big boat accident occurred on Thursday on the Ganges-Kosi Sangam coast under Kurseli police station area of ??Katihar district. The boat filled with five fishermen who went fishing suddenly overturned in the river due to strong wind and high waves. There is an atmosphere of chaos in the area after the accident.

Local fishermen and villagers immediately started rescue operations and three people were safely evacuated with the help of a big boat. However, two fishermen are still missing.

Local people said that all the fishermen had gone towards the river with a boat in the morning, when the weather suddenly worsened and under the pressure of strong winds and waves, the small boat was unbalanced and overturned in the depths of the river. At present, the search for both the fishermen who were swept away in the sharp stream is going on. Local administration and rescue teams are engaged in relief work.
