Patna, October 14 (NEWS IN BIHAR). Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released the first list of its candidates for Bihar Assembly elections 2025.

The names of a total of 71 candidates are included in this list. Many famous names have been included in this first list that came after a long wait, but the name of folk singer Maithili Thakur is not included in it.

For the last few days, there was intense speculation about Maithili Thakur’s entry into the electoral fray. He had recently met BJP’s national general secretary and organization in-charge of Bihar Vinod Tawde and Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai. After this meeting, there was a heated discussion in the political circles that the party might give him a ticket from some seat.

However, after the release of BJP’s first list, it has become clear that at present Maithili Thakur has not got a chance. In such a situation, it will be interesting to see whether Maithili Thakur is made a candidate in the coming phases or not.
