East Champaran, 01 November . District 16, Kalyanpur Legislative Assembly creates a different history in many ways every time. Every time new equations are created and worsened in the election scenario. This seat shows a different color in the Lok Sabha and keeps changing colors in the Legislative Assembly. If we look at the statistics, every time NDA gets lead in MP elections in this area. In 2019 itself, there was a lead of more than 14 thousand, whereas in the 2020 Assembly elections, RJD’s Manoj Kumar Yadav won the election in a tough contest. History is witness to the fact that till now no MLA has won here for the second consecutive time. In such a situation, this time also it is difficult to gauge the mood of the public here.

In the 2015 elections, the then NDA candidate Sachindra Prasad Singh of BJP defeated JDU’s Razia Khatoon by a margin of more than 12 thousand. In 2020, in a tough contest, the RJD candidate defeated him by 1193 votes. If we talk about the number of voters, there has been a slight increase in the last 5 years. 2 in 2019-20. There were 56 lakh voters, which will increase to approximately 2.65 lakh in 2025. That means 9 thousand voters have increased in the last 5 years. In this election, 11 candidates are contesting in the electoral arena. In which BJP’s Sachindra Singh, RJD’s Manoj Kumar Yadav and Jansuraj’s Dr. Mantosh Sahni and others are included. In this, many people are engaged in solving the caste equation, so votes are also being sought on the claims and promises of development and will develop.

Experts say that the contest is face to face but many candidates like Jansuraj, BSP are claiming victory and have put in full force in the election campaign. Here the candidates are also trying to solve the caste equation and efforts are being made to bring voters from other castes into their fold. Kalyanpur Legislative Assembly elections are on 11th November, hence now all the parties and candidates have put in all their energy to woo the voters, however, only after the results are declared on 14th November, it will be seen what new history has been made here again.
