East Champaran, 25 October . To make the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 fear-free, peaceful and fair, the District Police, while running a massive campaign, has taken action against 148 criminals under Section 3(3) of the Crime Control Act (CCA).

SP Swarn Prabhat said that this action was taken with the aim of maintaining peace in the district in view of the elections and sending criminals to jail. The campaign against liquor smugglers, drug mafia and organized criminals has been intensified by all the police stations of the district. According to the police, the criminals against whom action was taken include those named in cases of murder, robbery, dacoity, extortion and prohibition. Of the total 148 criminals, maximum cases are registered against 115 for prohibition, 6 for murder, 9 for robbery and 6 for other serious crimes.

Especially in cases of robbery and murder, criminals from Shikarganj, Nagar, Govindganj, Jharokhar, Dhaka, Chakia, Kesariya, Patahi and Sugauli police station areas are involved. These include Prabhulal Sah, resident of Kohbarwa, Vicky Kumar, resident of Shri Krishna Nagar, Ripu Pandey, resident of Babhnauli, Kumbhakaran Sah, resident of Athmuhan village, Sunny Kumar, resident of Karsahiya, Rahul Singh, resident of Khajuria, Rahul resident of Bansghat.

Apart from this, the police has also announced a reward on 10 wanted criminals to give a strict message against these criminals, 50 thousand rupees on Shakti Kapoor Paswan, resident of Lalbandi Chowki in Sarlahi district of Nepal, accused of robbery, 50 thousand rupees on Sohail Khan of Raxaul police station area in the case of gang rape, 25 thousand rupees on Chhotu Rana alias Pratap Rana of Areraj police station in the case of extortion, in the case of murder. Sanauar Khan of Harsiddhi police station But a reward of Rs 20 thousand and Rs 15 thousand has been announced on Arms Act accused Dilranjan Dubey alias Tingan Dubey, resident of Phulwar village. Apart from this, a reward of Rs 10,000 each has been placed on other criminals like Enamul Ansari, Vikas Rai alias Pakori, Chandan Kumar and Chandan Giri. This action of SP Swarn Prabhat has created panic among the criminals in the district. The SP said that the police is continuously monitoring the district and will go to any extent to catch the wanted criminals.
