East Champaran, October 19 (NEWS IN BIHAR). In view of Diwali and Chhath Puja, the Electricity Department has made complete preparations to ensure uninterrupted power supply. Keeping in mind the resolve of ‘Chappa-Chappa, Gali-Gali, Hamara Aadhaar Urjasvit Bihar’, the department has made special arrangements to provide better service to the consumers. Control rooms have been set up at the division level for continuous monitoring of power supply during festivals, which will be in operation 24 hours.

Electrical Executive Engineer Pradeep Kumar Suman, while wishing all the consumers a very happy Diwali and Chhath, said that for any emergency or electricity related complaint, consumers can directly contact the control room on telephone number 9264456405. The department says that in view of the increased demand for electricity during festivals, intensive inspection and repair work of all transformers and lines has already been completed.

The Electricity Department has appealed to the citizens to maintain distance from electric poles, transformers and open wires while lighting lamps and bursting crackers, so that there is no possibility of any accident or short circuit. The objective of this initiative is to ensure that electricity remains available to the consumers of Motihari without interruption on the holy festival of Diwali and Chhath Puja.
