Forbesganj Police achieved major success on Monday by cracking down on illegal liquor trade. Police conducted a raid and arrested a young man red-handed and recovered 12.5 liters of illegal country-made liquor from the puja room of his house.

The young man was involved in illegal liquor business and was hiding the liquor along with worship material in his puja room due to police action. Forbesganj police took this action in collaboration with the team of Anti Liquor Task Force. LTF team had received secret information that 33-year-old Subhash Kumar Paswan, father of late, resident of Kali Mela Road Ward No. 1. Sushil Paswan is selling country liquor from his house.

After confirming the information, the police team raided his house. As soon as he saw the police vehicle, the accused tried to run away, but due to the promptness of the soldiers he was caught. After this, the house was searched in the presence of witnesses, in which a total of 12.5 liters of country liquor was recovered from the puja house. Police Station Head Raghavendra Kumar Singh said that a case has been registered against the accused on charges of buying and selling of illegal liquor and he has been sent to jail.
