Bhagalpur, 24 October . On Friday, on the occasion of Chhath, the great festival of folk faith, a huge crowd of devotees gathered at various Ganga ghats including Barari Stair Ghat, Pul Ghat in the district. Since morning, women and men took bath in Ganga and were busy preparing for Chhath festival. A unique confluence of faith and devotion was seen on the banks of Ganga. In view of the crowd, Bhagalpur district administration has made elaborate security arrangements. Along with SDRF team, Aapda Mitras have also been deployed at the ghats, so that any untoward incident can be avoided.

Amit Kumar, Sunny Maldar and Gaurav Kumar were actively present among the Aapda Mitras appointed by the administration. They are constantly monitoring the ghat and appealing to the devotees to be cautious. At the same time, police forces and municipal corporation personnel were also engaged in cleanliness and crowd control at the ghats. The district administration has appealed to the devotees to take bath in the Ganga only at the designated ghats and follow the instructions of the administration. There is an atmosphere of enthusiasm in the entire city regarding Chhath festival. Devotees are busy preparing to offer Arghya to the Sun God, while the administration is fully alert to maintain safety and cleanliness.
