
Bhagalpur, October 15 (NEWS IN BIHAR). A cyber fraudster who stole money from the victim’s account by changing the mobile number linked to the victim’s bank account using cyber fraud techniques has been arrested from Murshidabad (West Bengal). Information to this effect was given from the SSP office on Wednesday.
It was told that on October 18, a case was registered in Cyber ??Police Station Bhagalpur on the basis of written application by the complainant Janardan Prasad Singh, father Late Radhe Singh Village-Phulka Gumti Po-Jamalpur Police Station-Jamalpur District-Munger (then Regional Planning Officer, Bhagalpur Division Bhagalpur).
A total illegal withdrawal of Rs. 2,04,904/- was made by the accused of cyber fraud by changing the registered mobile number linked to the victim’s bank account using cyber fraud technique. For the arrest of the said accused, a team was formed under the direction of Senior Superintendent of Police Bhagalpur, under the supervision of Superintendent of Police, City Bhagalpur and under the leadership of Deputy Superintendent of Police-cum-Chief of Police, Cyber ??Police Station Bhagalpur.
On the basis of transaction ID (IP) details and other evidence of the amount of illegal withdrawal during the raid by the formed team, further action is being taken by arresting the accused involved in the incident, Shahin SK, father-Golam SK, address- Hariharpara, Sripur Police Station- Hariharpara District- Murshidabad (West Bengal). The arrested accused is also being interrogated regarding the involvement of other persons in this incident.
