
Nalanda, Biharsharif 16 October (NEWS IN BIHAR). Dak Chaupal was organized by the Postal Department on Thursday at Rajgir Sanskar Utsav Hall in Nalanda district. The main objective of the program was to make various schemes run by the Postal Department available to the general public and to provide services on the spot.
On this occasion, Postal Superintendent of Nalanda Division Kundan Kumar said, “Along with the traditional work, the Postal Department is also playing an important role in the field of banking services, speed post, Aadhaar and financial inclusion. Postal employees are going door-to-door to connect the public with schemes like Savings Account, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana and Postal Life Insurance. Counters were also set up in the Chaupal for various services, which included Aadhaar card making for children up to 05 years of age, Aadhaar amendment, Facilities like mobile number update, on-the-spot withdrawal through India Post Payment Bank, rural postal life insurance and postal life insurance were included.
A large number of local citizens attended the program since morning and appreciated this initiative of the Postal Department. Chaupal was also addressed by Municipal Council Chairman Representative Swatantra Rajvanshi, Ward Councilor Anil Kumar and Postal Inspector Ramashish Kumar.
On the occasion, Deputy Postmaster Virendra Kumar, Purushottam Kumar, Sadanand Prasad, Rajiv Kumar Dubey, Vijay Kumar Upadhyay, Shubham Kumar, Maria Afrin, Satendra Kumar, Kunwar, Ashok Kumar and all the postal workers of Rajgir, Nalanda, Silav and Patiali were present.
