Demand for action against Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Jan Suraj Party delegation submitted memorandum to the Principal Secretary to the Governor

Patna, 30 September (NEWS IN BIHAR). The delegation of Jan Suraj Party reached Raj Bhavan on Tuesday to meet Governor Arif Mohammad Khan. National President Uday Singh, State President Manoj Bharti, senior leader Rambali Chandravanshi and State General Secretary Kishore Kumar were included in it. Despite having a pre-planned program and getting time from the Governor, the delegation of Jan Suraj Party could not meet the Governor.

A memorandum and a letter addressed to Prime Minister Modi were handed over to his Principal Secretary.

Coming out of Raj Bhavan, National President Uday Singh informed that he would not be meeting the Governor.

He told that we have submitted a memorandum of our demands to the Principal Secretary to the Governor and also a letter written to Prime Minister Modi today itself. We have full hope that our memorandum will reach the Governor. Also, now we have full confidence in the Central Government and Prime Minister Modi that action will be taken against Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary and justice will be given.

While answering the questions of journalists, Uday Singh said that he is also being accused of hiding his age. But as per the rules, at the time of nomination, I have stated the same age as is in the voter list. I was not going to get any benefit by hiding my age.

He told that Jan Suraj Party has said in its memorandum that Samrat Chaudhary alias Rakesh Kumar was made an accused in Tarapur police station case number 44/1995 and he was also arrested by the police, but he obtained bail by showing his school certificate in front of the Chief Judicial Magistrate and claiming himself to be a minor. In the year 1999, when he was made Minister in the Agriculture Department without becoming a member of the Legislative Assembly or Legislative Council, on the petition of PK Sinha, the then Governor of Bihar removed him from the post of Minister on the grounds that he was less than 25 years of age. Then in the year 2000, Samrat Chaudhary contested the Legislative Assembly elections from Parbatta Legislative Assembly constituency and became a member of the Legislative Assembly. Their membership was challenged in the court, in which the Supreme Court gave its decision in the year 2003. It was clarified in the order that to get bail, Samrat Chaudhary had shown his age to be less than 16 years in the year 1996. The court refused to accept the fake school documents presented by him and on this basis his election held in the year 2000 was cancelled. In the Legislative Assembly elections of November 2005 also, the High Court had canceled his candidature on the same basis.

He said that it is surprising that in the 2010 Legislative Assembly elections, Samrat Chaudhary mentioned his age as 28 years in his nomination paper and in the manifesto submitted for the 2020 Legislative Council elections, he has mentioned his age as 51 years. Whereas according to the observation of the Supreme Court, if in 1996 his age was less than 16 years, then in 2020 his age should be less than 40 years.

He said that it is clear that to avoid the said murder, Samrat Chaudhary pretended to be a minor and deceived the judicial system and again in the year 2020, disobeying the court order and presenting false information, won the election and became the Deputy Chief Minister. Therefore, to maintain public confidence in the democratic and judicial system of the country, it is necessary that Samrat Chaudhary be immediately removed from the post of Deputy Chief Minister, immediately arrested in the murder and embezzlement case and the entire matter be investigated impartially under the supervision of the High Court.
