
Purnia, 16 October (NEWS IN BIHAR). RJD candidate and former MP Santosh Kushwaha said that the poor, exploited and deprived people of Dhamdaha assembly constituency have decided to end the reign of terror and fear that has been going on for 15 years.
He said that now the time has come to liberate Dhamdaha from feudalism, casteism, fear and nepotism. This message of freedom has been sent to him by Lalu Prasad Yadav, Rahul Gandhi, Tejashwi Yadav, Dipankar Bhattacharya and Mukesh Sahni. As a soldier of the Grand Alliance, he is the medium to liberate the people. He was addressing the blessing meeting organized at the high school grounds after filing nomination forms on Thursday.
Kushwaha said that the people have been kept mentally enslaved for the last 15 years. They were made to fight among themselves and were implicated in false cases so that a handful of people with feudal mentality could continue to enjoy the cream of power. He said, “Our vote and your rule, this will not work anymore.”
He sarcastically said that those who till yesterday used to smell bad from the poor, are today being fed meat and rice. “It is looted property, eat it and take the money, but vote for RJD only,” he said.
RJD State President said in the meeting that the people should recognize their strength and form a grand alliance government to save the Constitution. Aurangabad MP Abhay Kushwaha said that 20 years of slavery has to be ended. He said that for the first time after independence, a son of a backward class has become an MP, which is a victory for social justice. Former minister Shivchandra Ram said that it is necessary to save the Constitution, because it gave the deprived sections of the society the right to become MLAs and ministers.
MLC Qari Sohaib said that NDA is conspiring to divide the country into Hindu-Muslim, which will have to be foiled. He appealed that after making Santosh Kushwaha victorious, a secular government should be formed under the leadership of Tejashwi Yadav. District President Mithilesh Das conducted the stage.
Many leaders including former MLA Dilip Yadav, E. Vinod Yadav, Kailash Kushwaha addressed the program.
