
Katihar, 26 November . A program of De-addiction Day was organized in the auditorium of Vikas Bhawan on Wednesday under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Manesh Kumar Meena.
Constitution Day was also celebrated on this occasion. The program was inaugurated by jointly lighting the lamp by the District Magistrate, Deputy Development Commissioner, Product Superintendent and other district level officials.
On this occasion, live video streaming of the address of Bihar Prohibition Minister Bijendra Yadav was broadcast, which was organized by the District Prohibition, Excise and Registration Department.
On the occasion of De-addiction Day, various programs were organized to make the general public aware of the ill effects of drugs and to awaken the consciousness of giving up drugs.
By organizing essay writing, debate, painting competition and Prabhat Pheri, the Education Department inspired people to get rid of drug addiction and gave the message of uniting against the use and trade of intoxicants. District Magistrate Manesh Kumar Meena administered the oath to all the officials, employees, Jeevika Didis and children not to use intoxicants.
Prohibition officer Subhash Kumar Singh, who played an important role in the successful implementation of prohibition in Katihar district, Superintendent Prohibition, Shrikant Kumar, Inspector Prohibition, Khushboo Kumari, Sub Inspector Prohibition, Ravi Kishore Prasad, Sub Inspector Prohibition, Sona Lal Kumar, Sub Inspector Prohibition, Sumant Kumar Suman, Assistant Sub Inspector Prohibition. And Nitish Kumar Thakur, Executive Assistant and Mohd. for playing an important role in timely execution of the office work of prohibition with determination and activeness. Rashid Alam, Data Entry Operator has been awarded a citation by the District Magistrate on De-addiction Day.
