Katihar, 29 September H.S.). The District Magistrate held a review meeting with representatives of NBFC (Non Banking Financial Company) finance companies. In the meeting, discussions were held regarding providing financial assistance to women and their recovery under the Chief Minister Mahila Rozgar Yojana.

The District Magistrate said that under this scheme, an amount of Rs 10,000 will be given as the first installment to a woman from each family. After this, after assessment, additional financial assistance up to Rs 2 lakh will be given as per requirement.

The District Magistrate directed that if any microfinance company representative is found collecting her installment amount from Jeevika Didi from the amount received under MMRY, then inform the district office. Special instructions have been given that no recovery is to be made from these women for 2 months and this scheme is to be given priority.

District Project Manager (Jeevika) was instructed to keep the helpline number (7544000747) established by Jeevika active for the smooth operation of the control room (24×7) and ensure prompt action as per rules on the complaints received.

Along with the District Magistrate, Deputy Development Commissioner, Leading Bank Manager Katihar, DPM Jeevika and representatives of NBFC finance companies were present in the meeting.
