East Champaran, October 16 (NEWS IN BIHAR). Former youth JDU state president Divyanshu Bhardwaj, president of Patna University Students Union, has announced to contest the elections as an independent candidate from Motihari Assembly.
Giving this information to the media, he said that he will file nomination as an independent candidate on October 17. On the occasion of nomination, a grand public meeting will be organized at the Airport Ground, Motihari, which will be attended by about 10,000 people from all the wards and 22 Panchayats of Motihari city.
Divyanshu Bhardwaj said that this election is not a means for me to get power, but a mission to take the voice of the people to the Legislative Assembly. I have chosen politics not as a career but as a medium of service. Even today, Central School and Central University are running in Motihari without a building, Ayurveda College was closed. The entire district is struggling with unemployment, migration, broken roads, neglected education and weak health system. These are my real election issues, and I will go among the public on these issues.
He said that I am not contesting as a candidate of any party, but of the people of Motihari. I believe that democracy survives in the true sense only when the people decide their own politics.
