
Katihar, 26 November . Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) conducted a comprehensive inspection tour to review the progress of the ongoing double line construction work on Katihar to Kumedpur and Katihar to Mukuria railway sections. During this, he reached Maniyan, Kuretha, Khuriyal and Azamnagar railway stations and made a thorough assessment of the passenger facilities.
The DRM minutely reviewed the seating arrangements on the platforms, availability of drinking water, clean and accessible toilets, parking areas, approach roads and other important civic amenities. He also inspected the condition of ramps, handrails, wheelchair paths and special adapted toilets available for disabled passengers and directed to complete the necessary improvement and upgradation works immediately.
The Divisional Railway Manager gave clear instructions to the officers present that the ongoing double line construction work in Katihar-Kumedpur and Katihar-Mukuria sections should be completed quickly, with quality and as per the prescribed standards, so that in future, more safe, convenient and punctual rail service can be provided to the passengers of this area.
All the branch officers were also present during the inspection and informed the DRM about the detailed progress of each work. On this occasion, almost all the senior railway officers and senior officials of the construction department were also present, who shared information related to the construction works and assured to ensure implementation of the necessary guidelines.
