Bhagalpur, 23 October . Manish Kumar Gupta, Divisional Railway Manager, Malda, visited Bhagalpur Railway Station on Thursday and reviewed the arrangements made to manage the huge crowd of passengers during the ongoing Chhath festival. During the inspection, the Divisional Railway Manager inspected various facilities and arrangements including holding areas, CCTV surveillance room and control room and gave necessary instructions to the Railway officials and supervisors to further improve passenger convenience and crowd management.

Divisional Railway Manager of Malda Division interacted with passengers in trains and at the station premises and took feedback from passengers going to their hometowns for Chhath Puja. The passengers expressed satisfaction over the arrangements and appreciated the efforts of Eastern Railway, Malda Division to ensure smooth and safe travel during the festival rush. Malda Division has implemented several proactive measures including increasing the number of staff, real time monitoring of crowd and coordination with RPF and GRP to ensure hassle free travel of passengers during this busy festive period.
