Durga festival in Patna, crowd of devotees gathering in pandals

Patna, 30 September (NEWS IN BIHAR). A wonderful confluence of faith and devotion is being seen on the occasion of Durga Puja in the capital Patna. Crowds of devotees are gathering day and night to see the grand statues and artistic pandals of Maa Durga.

The pandals decorated in every corner of the city have not only become a symbol of religious faith but are also attracting people with their grandeur and decorations.

This year, puja committees in Patna have prepared pandals based on special themes. A huge crowd of devotees is being seen in the major pandals of Dak Bungalow Square, Patna City, Kankarbagh, Rajendranagar, Boring Road, Kadamkuan, Agamkuan, Patel Nagar, Ashiana Nagar and Digha area.

These pandals have been built on the lines of various temples, which have a special attraction of carvings and colorful lights. Along with this, many puja committees have made pandals based on environmental protection. Plastic has not been used here at all, rather the entire pandal has been decorated with bamboo, cloth and natural materials.

The idols of Maa Durga installed in puja pandals are also the center of special attraction. The grandeur and artistry of every statue is mesmerizing the devotees. In which a wonderful coordination of craftsmanship and colors can be seen.

In view of the crowd, Patna district administration has made strict security arrangements. CCTV cameras have been installed in major pandals and police forces have been deployed. To improve the traffic system, barricading and one-way routes have been implemented in many areas.

Durga Puja pandals have become not only religious places but also centers of cultural activities. Programs like devotional songs, dance and Ramlila are being organized at various places. As the evening approaches, the entire atmosphere becomes devotional with the twinkling of lights in the pandals and the sound of conch shells and bells.

Residents of Patna and devotees from nearby districts are enjoying visiting the pandals. Many people are going to different areas with their families and children and enjoying the beauty of the pandals. Patna city is completely filled with devotion, faith and joy these days.
