
Bettiah, October 24 Lauria Police based in Bettiah is continuously engaged in action to effectively implement the prohibition law.
In the same sequence, on Thursday evening the police raided Parorha village and arrested two liquor smugglers. Both the arrested accused are said to be father and son.
Police Station Head Ramesh Kumar Sharma said that the arrested persons have been identified as Harichandra Yadav and his son Nagendra Yadav, residents of Parorha village.
Police have recovered four liters of country-made liquor and eight pieces of foreign liquor from them. After interrogating both the accused, an FIR was registered under the Prohibition Act and they were sent to Bettiah jail in judicial custody.
