Bettiah, October 25 To conduct the assembly elections in a fair and peaceful manner, Nautan police has intensified an intensive campaign against liquor traders.

In the same sequence, on Saturday, Police Station Head Pramod Paswan received secret information that a large quantity of liquor had been brought from Uttar Pradesh to Shivrajpur Chharki Jhadi area.

As soon as the information was received, he formed a police team and immediately started the raid operation. During the raid, police recovered five boxes of foreign liquor, which included a total of 214 pieces of Butti-Bubli brand bottles.

It is being told that the smugglers were trying to supply this consignment to another district, but due to the promptness of the police, this smuggling attempt failed. At present, the police has seized the recovered liquor and continuous raids are going on to arrest the liquor smugglers.
