
Nawada, October 16 (NEWS IN BIHAR). The hope of relief from the court has been dashed for Prakashveer, former MLA of Rajauli in Nawada district. The court of Third District and Sessions Judge cum MP-MLA Special Sessions Court Judge Subhash Chandra Sharma on Thursday rejected Prakashveer’s appeal and upheld the sentence awarded by the lower court.
The court has ordered the former MLA to surrender in the court of MP-MLA Special Court cum First Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate within seven days. This case is related to Rajauli police station case number – 111/2005. Former MLA Prakashveer was accused of violating the code of conduct in 2005. In this case, the MP-MLA Special Court cum First Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate had sentenced him to six months simple imprisonment and a fine of one thousand rupees on July 29, 2022.
Prakashveer had challenged this order in the District and Sessions Court in the year 2022 in the form of appeal number – 16/22. After a long hearing of the case, the court upheld the lower court order passed against him and dismissed the appeal. Additional Public Prosecutor Ajit Kumar strongly presented the prosecution’s case in the court. The court held that the charges against the accused were proved by the evidence.
Due to this order of the court, the troubles of former MLA Prakashveer have increased. Now he will have to surrender before the trial court within seven days, otherwise the possibility of arrest cannot be ruled out. After this decision, discussion has intensified in political circles that the former MLA may now have to face legal complications.
