Agriculture department takes charge of giving information about government schemes to farmers.

Information given to farmers about doing organic farming

East Champaran, 26 November . Krishi Jan Kalyan Chaupal was organized on Wednesday in the E Kisan Bhawan auditorium of the district Bankatwa block headquarters. In which a large number of farmers participated. The main objective of this event was to make the farmers aware of modern agricultural techniques and government schemes. The program was inaugurated by Block Agriculture Officer Ram Kumar Paswan and Panchayat head by lighting the lamp.

Important information related to Rabi crop was given to the farmers present in this Chaupal. Laying special emphasis on organic farming, it was told that urea and other chemical fertilizers harm the fields, hence its use should be avoided. Farmers were advised to use other cheap fertilizers available in the market instead of urea. Farmers were also made aware not to burn crop residue after harvesting paddy. Officials said that farmers are now doing farming scientifically, due to which crop production has increased rapidly. The main objective of this Rabi campaign is to improve the production of Rabi crops by providing new technologies to the farmers._

Block Agriculture Officer Ram Kumar Paswan told the farmers that this Chaupal is an agriculture-related program, which is organized to educate them about modern technologies, government schemes and best agricultural practices. Its main objective is to solve the problems of farmers and help in increasing their income.

In the program, Block Assistant Technical Manager of Agriculture Department, Prince Raj, Agriculture Coordination Sudhir Kumar said that by using new technology and improved seeds, farmers can get better yields, which will increase their income. He suggested the farmers to increase their income by adopting new farming techniques as well as various components like animal husbandry and fisheries. Agriculture Coordinator Deepak Kumar and Farmer Advisor Atul Kumar gave detailed information to the farmers about the new farming techniques.

During this, farmers were also made aware of the importance of stubble management. Also, they were encouraged to get soil testing done by giving them information about various points related to soil testing, so that they can do farming according to the fertility of their land.
