Alinagar (Darbhanga): Binod Mishra in public meeting.

Darbhanga, 2 November .

In this phase of assembly elections, Alinagar seat has become one of the most talked about seats in the state. Here the contest between RJD and Indi alliance candidate Binod Mishra and BJP candidate Maithili Thakur has become tough.

While on one hand, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, JDU Working President Sanjay Jha and many senior leaders of BJP-JDU alliance have come into the fray in support of Maithili Thakur, on the other hand, many senior RJD leaders including former Deputy Chief Minister Abdul Bari Siddiqui are continuously campaigning in support of Binod Mishra.

Both the candidates, along with strengthening their respective traditional vote banks, are adopting the strategy of infiltrating each other’s voters.

Political analysts say that the caste equations on this seat are very complicated. The MY (Muslim-Yadav) equation can become a challenge for Maithili Thakur, while for Binod Mishra, it is a difficult test to attract the largest number of Brahmin voters in Alinagar area.

Binod Mishra is continuously establishing direct communication with the public through public relations, while Maithili Thakur is reaching out to the public on the basis of her popularity, family image and the strength of BJP-JDU alliance.
