

Purnia, 16 October (NEWS IN BIHAR). A sudden fire broke out due to gas leakage while making tea on gas at around 7 am on Friday morning in ward number 11 of Bhawanipur Panchayat of Amour police station area. Within no time the flames became so intense that the houses of three families were completely burnt to ashes. Nothing of the items, clothes, jewelery and cash kept in the houses could be saved.
Fire victim Shankar Thakur told that the fire was so terrible that no one got a chance to take anything out. The villagers immediately tried to extinguish the fire and the fire brigade arrived and brought the fire under control, but by then everything was burnt.
The families affected by the fire include Suresh Thakur, Naresh Thakur and Shankar Thakur, all three are sons of Ramdev Thakur. Suresh Thakur said that property worth around Rs 10 lakh, including the glamor motorcycle kept in the house, was destroyed in the fire.
Information about the incident has been given to Amour police station and zonal administration. The victim families have demanded government relief and compensation from the administration.
