
Samastipur, 29 October . With the aim of ensuring successful, fair and 100 percent voting in the upcoming Bihar Assembly General Election 2025, new momentum has been given to the voter awareness campaign under the SVEEP program in Samastipur district. As per the instructions of District Election Officer-cum-District Officer Roshan Kushwaha and under the guidance of Nodal Officer-cum-District Manager (Sweep), a comprehensive public awareness campaign was conducted by Jeevika Didis in all the blocks of the district. Under the campaign, women of Jeevika groups are going from village to village giving the message of “must vote”. Through street meetings, rallies and community meetings, she is making voters aware that every vote has an invaluable contribution in strengthening democracy.
During these programs organized in different blocks — Dalsinghsarai, Kalyanpur, Morwa, Warisnagar, Patori, Rosra, Vibhutipur, Hasanpur, Ujiarpur and Shivaji Nagar — women took an oath together that they would vote themselves and would also motivate their families and communities to vote.
During the program, Jeevika Didis raised slogans –
“First voting, then refreshments”,
“Identification of every house – people should go to vote”,
Due to which the atmosphere became completely like voting. The nodal officer said that this initiative of Jeevika groups is empowering women as well as democratic participation in the district. He said that the reach and influence of these women in rural areas will definitely increase the voting percentage. Praising this public awareness campaign, District Election Officer Roshan Kushwaha said that with the participation of Jeevika Didis, the voter awareness campaign is taking the form of a mass movement. He appealed that every citizen should consider voting as a celebration of democracy and take part in it. This initiative is not only spreading democratic consciousness among rural women but is also strengthening the resolve for 100% voting in the entire district.
