East Champaran, September 30 (NEWS IN BIHAR). Delhi’s National School of Drama Rangmandal is currently on a stay in Bihar after touring the country and abroad on its diamond jubilee celebrations (Rang Shashthi).

After staging plays in cities like Patna, Purnia and Begusarai, theater artists staged the play ‘Mai Ri Main Ka Se Kahoon’ for the first time in the festive atmosphere of Durga Puja on Monday at the Mahatma Gandhi Auditorium in Motihari. It was jointly inaugurated by District Art Culture Officer Fahad Siddiqui and Theater Manager Abhishek Mudgal from NSD. Teacher Aditya Manas conducted the stage

The play ‘Mai Ri Main Ka Se Kahoon’ is based on the story ‘Duvidha’ by famous Hindi writer Vijaydan Detha. In this, the inner dilemma of a woman has been presented in a poignant and sensitive manner. Equipped with unique presentation of music and artists, this play not only entertained the audience but also left a deep impact on their minds. The play was directed by Ajay Kumar, who also composed the music for it.

Rangamandal will also stage a drama at Mahatma Gandhi Auditorium in Motihari on 30th September and 1st October. In which the first play is ‘Babuji’, which is based on the story of the famous Hindi storyteller Mithileshwar and whose dramatization has been done by Vibhanshu Vaibhav.

This play has been directed by Rajesh Singh, head of National School of Drama, Rangmandal. Along with this, the last play of this series will be ‘Taj Mahal Ka Tender’, which has been written by senior writer Ajay Shukla and directed by Chittaranjan Tripathi, the current director of National School of Drama.

It is noteworthy that it is a part of the 60th anniversary (diamond jubilee) celebrations of the National School of Drama. This celebration will start from August 2024 and continue till 2026. During this period, the troupe has performed in various cities of India – Gwalior, Dehradun, Shimla, Jaipur, Bengaluru and Mumbai – as well as in countries like Russia, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Nepal.
