Katihar, 23 October . Katihar Railway Division’s DRM Kirendra Narah inaugurated four new ticket vending machines for the convenience of passengers outside the booking counter located on platform number one of Katihar Railway Station.

In view of the Chhath festival, this step has been taken by the railway administration with the aim of controlling the increasing crowd of passengers and providing convenience in ticket distribution. DRM Kirendra Narah said that keeping in mind the convenience of passengers, a total of 18 ticket vending machines are being installed at various stations of Katihar Railway Division.

DRM Kirendra Narah also inspected the arrangements in the station premises and gave many necessary directions to the concerned railway officials. This initiative is being considered an important step on the part of Railways towards improving passenger service and promoting digital system.

Many railway officers including ADRM Manoj Kumar Singh, DCM Sangeeta Meena, RPF Commandant Sandeep Kumar PS were present on the spot.
