Nalanda, 14 October (NEWS IN BIHAR). While issuing instructions, Nalanda District District Magistrate Kundan Kumar said that in view of the Bihar Assembly General Elections 2025, the Model Code of Conduct has become effective in the district from October 07, 2025. Also, in view of the upcoming Diwali and Chhath festival, in order to maintain the administrative and law and order situation in the district, the leave of all the officials has been canceled till further orders.

The District Officer has given clear instructions that all district, sub-division and block level officers will discharge their prescribed responsibilities by staying in their respective headquarters. Any officer will be allowed to go on leave or leave the headquarters only in special circumstances, and that too only after obtaining the prior approval of the District Officer.

He said that if any officer is found unauthorizedly absent from the headquarters, it will be taken seriously and necessary administrative action will be taken against him.
