A tribute meeting was organized on Thursday on the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastriji at Domi Rishidev’s residence in Mahadalit Basti of Kirkichia Panchayat of Farbisganj.

On this occasion, the people present paid floral tributes on the oil painting of both the great men. The program was chaired by Farbisganj Block President Gulabchand Rishidev. He said that Mahatma Gandhi fought for freedom by making truth and non -violence the basis and showed a new path to the whole world. At the same time, Lal Bahadur Shastri gave new inspiration to the farmers and soldiers by giving the slogan of Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan.

Block Vice President Mo Danish said that the birth anniversary of Gandhiji and Shastri ji gives us the message of service, sacrifice and simplicity. We should work for the upliftment of the weaker sections of the society by adopting their ideals. Former city general secretary Aman Raza said in his address that Gandhiji gave a new direction to the freedom movement on the strength of non -violence, while Shastri ji presented the ideal of politics with his simplicity and honesty.

A large number of Mahadalit women and local villagers were present on the occasion. The Block Vice President Mo. Many dignitaries including Barkat Ali, Jitendra Mandal, Ghungra Rishidev, Kaili Devi, Kali Devi, Santali Devi, Rujhani Devi, Nagma Ali, Uma Devi, Sahil Raza also attended.
