Bhagalpur, October 2 (NEWS IN BIHAR). Mahatma Gandhi and Shastri Jayanti celebrations along with World Non-Violence Day were organized by Gandhi Peace Foundation Center Bhagalpur on Thursday under the chairmanship of Prakash Chandra Gupta.

On this occasion, prayers from all religions, floral tributes and Gandhiji’s thoughts were discussed in detail. The program was conducted by Sanjay Kumar and vote of thanks by Vice President Mohammad Ainul Hoda. The chief guest of the function was Dr. Farooq Ali, former Vice Chancellor, J.P. University, Chapra and the keynote speaker was Dr. Manoj Kumar, former Vice Chancellor, International Gandhi Hindi University, Wardha.

Speakers on this occasion said that Gandhi was one of the greatest people in modern history, whose thoughts will remain valid for all time. The idea of ??truth, non-violence, love, harmony, brotherhood and charity is the idea of ??humanity. As long as it is alive, Gandhi will always be remembered with these thoughts. Today we are remembering Gandhi on his birthday, not only we are remembering him, the entire world is remembering him. He gave such ideas which the whole world is adopting. Therefore, his birthday is being celebrated all over the world as World Non-Violence Day. Only this idea of ??truth and non-violence can keep the entire world intact. Keynote speaker Dr. Manoj Kumar said that the people of Bhagalpur should especially remember Gandhiji today because he had come to Bhagalpur for the third time 100 years ago in 1925 on October 1 and 2. From here they went to other places via Banka, Deoghar, Madhupur. A meeting was held here. Therefore, while remembering him, we should spread his thoughts widely. Dr. Farooq Ali said that on one hand Gandhi taught the lesson of truth and non-violence and on the other hand Shastri ji created a sense of respect and authority towards farmers and soldiers in the world by giving the slogan of Jai Jawan and Jai Kisan. He is exemplary. On the basis of which today India has not only become self-sufficient in food, but has also started exporting to the world.
