Nalanda, 23 October . A middle-aged man died due to electric shock on Thursday morning in Adalchak village of Tharthari police station area. The deceased has been identified as 55-year-old Karu Prasad, resident of Adalchak village.
Deceased’s wife Uma Devi told that Karuprasad had left the house for defecation as usual at around 5 in the morning. When he did not return home till ten in the morning, the family started searching with the help of villagers. During the investigation, the villagers found a broken 440 volt electric wire on the road near Dak Baba place situated on the eastern side of the village. The old man died on the spot after coming in contact with the wire through which electricity was flowing.
As soon as the information about the incident was received, Tharthari police station incharge Sanjay Kumar reached the spot with the police force and took possession of the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital, Bihar Sharif for post-mortem. After the incident, there was chaos in the house of the deceased. The villagers have expressed their displeasure over the negligence of the electricity department.
