Despite the implementation of prohibition law in Bihar, there is no sign of stopping liquor drinkers and businesses. In this series, Mohammad Afroz, owner of Hollywood Tailor, resident of DB Road Fish Market under Sadar Police Station area, was arrested by the Excise Department on charges of alcohol consumption.

Earlier too, case number 122/23 was registered against Afroz in excise police station. Meanwhile, on October 16, 2025, he was again caught consuming liquor in Excise Police Station case number 1059/25. Seeing the crime committed by the accused, the Excise Department team took him into custody and presented him in the court.

During the hearing, the prosecution told that Afroz had already been an accused in the liquor consumption case and was repeatedly found involved in such activities. Considering the case as serious, the court sent Mohammad Afroz to jail in judicial custody for 14 days. Departmental sources say that strict action is being taken against the accused who are repeatedly caught under the prohibition law so that repeat crimes can be prevented.
