
East Champaran, October 18 (NEWS IN BIHAR). Under ‘Operation Smile’, the police returned smiles to the faces of 54 people on the occasion of Dhanteras on Saturday. The police returned their lost mobile phones. All the mobiles were handed over to their real owners in the presence of Superintendent of Police Swarn Prabhat in a special camp organized at the Police Line Auditorium.
On this occasion, Superintendent of Police Swarn Prabhat said that under Operation Muskaan, a special team was formed and necessary instructions were given for the recovery of lost and stolen mobile phones. In the light of which, on the basis of technical and scientific evidence, the special team recovered 54 mobiles, the total value of which is Rs 10 lakh. The stolen or lost mobiles were returned to their rightful owners. These included 13 students, 3 housewives, 8 farmers, 2 police personnel, 2 government personnel, 12 businessmen and 14 other people. Superintendent of Police Shri Prabhat said that this is the 17th camp of ‘Operation Muskaan’ in the district, under this campaign so far 1627 mobile phones have been returned to their original owners. Whose total cost is Rs. 03 crore 27 lakh 56 thousand. He said that this campaign will continue in future as well. Along with controlling crime, Motihari Police will continue to work towards restoring mutual trust in the police among the general public.
People expressed joy on getting back their lost mobile phones and appreciated the efforts of Superintendent of Police Swarn Prabhat and said that this initiative of the police is fulfilling the expectations of the general public.
