Araria 18 October (NEWS IN BIHAR). A total of 14 candidates filed nomination forms on the sixth day of nomination for all the six assembly constituencies of the district.

Nomination papers were filed by one candidate from Forbesganj, two from Sikti, three from Narpatganj, three from Jokihat and five from Araria assembly constituency.

Janardan Yadav as Jan Suraj Party candidate from Narpatganj Assembly Constituency, Bechan Ram and Shravan Kumar Das as independent candidates, Giranand Kumar as independent candidate from Forbesganj Assembly Constituency, Chandra Bhushan as Aam Aadmi Party candidate from Araria Assembly Constituency, Farhat Ara Begum as Jan Suraj Party candidate, Shagufta Azim as Janata Dal (United) candidate, Vishal Kumar Rai and Sanjay as independent candidates. Kumar Vishwas and Sarfaraz Alam as Jan Suraj Party candidate from Jokihat assembly constituency, Mohammad Murshid Alam as All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen Dal candidate, Manjar Alam as Janata Dal (United) candidate and Bhola Prasad Singh as Bahujan Samaj Party candidate from Sikti assembly constituency, Mohd. Peace Party candidate. Nomination papers were filed by Sabir Alam.
