East Champaran, October 14 (NEWS IN BIHAR). One bike rider died while another was seriously injured in a collision between a government bus and a bike near Sorapania Canal on the Dhaka Pachpakdi main road in the district.

The deceased is Ram Jaiswal (40), resident of Rupaulia Gopi of Pachpakdi police station area, while the injured is Atish Chaudhary, resident of Pachpakdi. The deceased used to hold the trunk of the vehicles which did not pay the loan.

Police Station Head Pooja Kumari said that the bus has been seized and the driver has been kept in custody. No application has been received yet in this matter. Further action will be taken upon receipt of the application. The body has been handed over to the relatives after post-mortem. The police station chief told

The deceased was going towards Sorapania on bike. In this sequence, it collided with a bus coming from Dhaka side and both the bike riders were seriously injured. In injured condition, both of them were taken to Motihari for treatment, where Ram Jaiswal died during treatment. While the condition of the other is said to be critical.
