
Araria, 28 October . On the occasion of Chhath, the great festival of folk faith, a cultural program Bhaskar Mahotsav was organized on Monday evening at Trishulia Ghat and Canal by the District Administration and Bihar Art, Culture and Youth Department. In which famous folk singer Amar Anand, Priya Raj along with Manibhushan Bhardwaj, Bablu Kumar Mandal and Bhupal Kumar mesmerized the audience with their captivating performance.
The objective of the program was to spread voter awareness to the masses under the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections along with preservation of folk culture.
While at Trishulia Ghat, artists Mani Bhushan Bhardwaj, Bablu Kumar Mandal and Bhupal Kumar enthralled the audience with their captivating performances, at Canal Chhath Ghat, famous artists Amar Anand and Priya Raj, in their melodious voices, made the devotees dance with their beautiful presentation of traditional Chhath songs and voter awareness songs.
On this occasion, District Election Officer-cum-District Officer Anil Kumar and Superintendent of Police Anjani Kumar, while wishing Chhath festival, appealed that all the voters of the district should vote with full responsibility in the second phase of the assembly elections to be held on November 11.
A large number of local citizens, cultural lovers and administrative officials were present in the program. Everyone pledged to exercise their franchise on the great festival of democracy.
Sub-Divisional Officer Ravi Prakash, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Sushil Kumar, District Art and Culture Officer Sanyal Kumar and senior officers of other departments of the district were present in the programme.
