Katihar, 23 October . Taking a major action against illegal liquor smuggling, Kodha police station of Katihar district has arrested a smuggler with 114 liters of foreign liquor. The arrested smuggler Raj Kumar Thakur is a resident of Rautara police station, Katihar district.

Kodha police station incharge had received secret information that a person riding a motorcycle was coming with a consignment of liquor. When the police station chief arrived with his police force to verify the above information and take necessary action, after seeing the police force, a person riding a motorcycle started running away, who was caught by the police force.

Police said that after registering a case against the said accused, preparations are being made to take further action and send him to judicial custody. This action is part of the campaign being run by the district administration against illegal liquor smuggling. The district administration will continue to take action against illegal liquor smuggling.
