Katihar, 25 October . Taking major action against illegal liquor, Balrampur police station of the district has recovered 42 liters of foreign liquor from a tempo. During this time, the police has arrested a smuggler. The arrested smuggler Mohammad Arshad (22 years), father Mohammad Ayub, is a resident of village Matiya Chowk Ranipatra, police station-Muffasil, district-Purnia.

Police said that during vehicle checking at Bajragaon check post, the tempo was searched, in which a huge quantity of foreign liquor was recovered. A case has been registered against the arrested smuggler under the Alcohol Prohibition Act and further action is being taken.

The recovered items included 42 liters of foreign liquor and a tempo. Police are investigating from where this liquor was brought and where it was to be sent. This police action against liquor smuggling will continue in Katihar.
