The police have claimed to have completely solved the case of robbery of Rs 8.21 lakh by armed criminals from grocery wholesaler Om Agency located at Deendayal Chowk, Forbesganj on November 20.
Along with local, inter-district criminals from other districts were also involved in the incident. Police have so far arrested one criminal along with two liners in the case. Out of the Rs 1 lakh that was his share in the looted amount from the arrested criminal, the police claimed to have recovered Rs 80 thousand.
While two local miscreants played the role of liner in the incident, five miscreants were involved in the robbery.
On Wednesday, Forbesganj SDPO Mukesh Kumar Saha gave this information in a press conference in his office room.
SDPO Mukesh Kumar Saha said that Naresh Mandal of Bhagkohlia, who played the role of liner in the incident, was arrested earlier and sent to jail. Whereas Dharmendra Kumar, father of late Suresh Mandal, resident of ward number four of Bhagkohlia, the second liner, has been arrested.
On the basis of the information given by Dharmendra Kumar about the criminals in the confession statement, Babul Kumar, father Naval Yadav, resident of Maharajganj ward number 15 of Arar police station area of ??Madhepura, was arrested.
Police recovered Rs 80 thousand from the looted amount from Babul Kumar. Babul Kumar told that he had received a share of Rs 1 lakh from the looted amount, in which he spent Rs 20 thousand. The SDPO claimed that the incident has been completely unraveled and the police are conducting raids at Madhepura, Supaul, Sahebganj and other places to arrest other criminals involved in the incident. It was claimed that other criminals will be arrested soon.
The special team formed under the leadership of SDPO Mukesh Kumar Saha and Police Station Head Raghavendra Kumar Singh said that the case would be exposed on the basis of technical surveillance, CCTV footage, secret information system and local intelligence inputs.
The raiding team included Police Station Head Raghavendra Kumar Singh, Additional Station Head Satyendra Kumar Gupta, Sub Inspector Ashutosh Kumar Mishra, Vijay Kumar, Akash Kumar, Kajal Kumari, ASI Deepak Kumar.
